Project Spotlight: Sunshine Plaza Arbour
An impressive installation at Lend Lease’s newly renovated Sunshine Plaza Shopping Centre at Maroochydore. The project saw some 20 bent laminated Ironbark beams suspended over the Riverwalk extension, the longest at over 15m long in a stunning arc formation.
Excruciatingly tight tolerances were made easy with our in house drafts people & CNC technology, seamlessly working to deliver a perfect & painless install.
The beams themselves were made up of 8mm laminations pressed together using over 100 custom made clamps & forms to produce the required radii with zero spring back – critical for such tight tolerances.
