Colour

The heartwood, which makes up about 20% of the total volume, is yellow to pinkish-brown in colour. The sapwood is creamy white to pale yellow and is not always clearly distinguishable from heartwood.

Grain/Texture

The grain is generally straight, although the heartwood can sometimes spiral. The texture is relatively fine and even.
